The Housing Innovation Village Experience (HIVE) is housing reimagined. HIVE is the vision of the Missing Middle Housing Fund, an Oregon state-wide 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to solving the state's housing underproduction crisis, in partnership with The Strategic Economic Development Corporation (SEDCOR) and the Workforce Housing Investment Fund (WHIF), an advisory committee appointed by the Newberg Workforce Housing Consortium (NWHC) to manage a $3M revolving investment fund to create more attainable workforce housing in Newberg. The NWHC consists of major employers like George Fox University, A-dec, Providence Health, Habitat for Humanity, Friendsview Retirement, and Newberg-Dundee Public Schools. These industry leaders recognize that thriving businesses require thriving communities, and workforce housing is the foundation that allows both employees and enterprises to flourish.
